The Island Avenue turn snakes it's way through a snowy downtown Pittsburgh

After completing work at NS's Island Avenue Yard, the AVR Island Avenue turn throttles up heading back east to the CSX connection back to Glenwood.

A cloudy day helps make this shot possible, as KC32 the AVR Island Avenue turn makes it way towards the yard with the city of Pittsburgh in the background.

AVR makes a late run to and from Island Avenue under less than ideal weather conditions.

AVR 2008 takes 32 cars back to Glenwood from Island Avenue over the Allegheny River via NS's Pittsburgh Line then CSX's P&W Sub, which is just a mile or two east of here.
